And here is Doctor Blonde.........

First of all let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m born blonde (but now rely on highlights and lowlights to keep up appearances). I’m told I have Irish eyes (blue ones) that speak volumes about my sensitivity and extraordinary high emotional intelligence. I use them to peer into souls and analyse the sometimes-impenetrable depths of men and women and their relationships.

Education and Credentials: While I am accredited
1 as a psychology specialist and I also have vast international and multicultural experience.
2 I am in no way an expert on social psychology of the beautiful people who live in or visit the DominicanRepublic. However I do have an exceptional collection of self-help books on almost every topic that I can consult from time to time.

And I love to do research and consult with other authorities in the field. Experts include: Dr. Phil, Oprah, Dear Abby, Ann Landers, Dear Pam (Pamela Anderson, another well-known and well-endowed Canadianblonde), Giselle (my Canadian, half Trini girlfriend who has even more self-helpbooks than I do), Mary (a free spirited nurse and advanced level salsa dancer, who loves to suggest “nothing better than a good roll in the hay” as a cure foreverything that ails the heart.), Samantha (my hairstylist who will be travelling to DR to marry her boyfriendwho works in Animation. Who suggests: “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”), Kevin (my cross-dressing make-up expert at the MAC cosmetic counter at Yonge& Bloor, who always says “You go girl!” or “I wouldn’t kick him out of mybed for eating crackers.”), Olga (my Russian manicurist who was a psychologist in Minsk who always suggests “a little massage” as a cure-all), Dancing Blonde, Bathroom Bogging Blonde And all the other blondes on this blog that have their own experience and blonde sprit that they bring to human relations in the DR or wherever they are.

And since I work in the field of laboratory medicine, I will even consult with doctors and laboratory technologists to answer your health-related questions.Doctor Blonde is “IN” and open for questions.

Kudos to Mary, but I think Samantha ought to consult with Mary first before making her fateful trip back to DR. Marry an animation worker? Surely you all know that working in Animation is basically synonymous with "sankie" a well know Dominican type, basically a tiguere whose specialty is fleecing tourists. They are charming, courteous, flattering, loving -- in short, the perfect vacation-time boyfriends, but not generally good husband material. well, there are always exceptions to the rules, I wish her well, but have her talk to Mary before marrying.

Btw, thumbs up to all you blondes on this blog. I am beginning to think it may be true that blondes have more fun -- they are sure to do so in DR, where they are more rare. "e' palante que vamos."

Dr Blonde, I didn';t see Dominican men in your list of men dated and/or relationships with...hmmmm?!?!?1 Are you on to something that other women do NOT know!?!?! LOL

I am in love with this blog already. You girls rock! Inquiring minds want to know, what brought you to the DR? Do you all work? I am JEALOUS! I am sending my girlfriends this link and they are going to LOVE it (we always talk about picking up and moving to DR from Toronto - we just don't have the guts!)

macocael,

First let me say "Thank you" for sharing your images of the world! They help keep it real, when so many of the images we see everyday are related to consumerism.

Regarding Samantha (not her real name), I did have a long chat with her about sankies about a month ago and she was very interested and took it into consideration. She’s mature (37) and has a lot of experience. She’s traveled to several other countries where she said you could spot gigolos a mile a way. She didn’t think her boyfriend was one, he hasn’t worked long enough in the business to be a player and she really felt he valued family. He was perfectly happy to think she might come and live in the DR. I hope her judgment is sound because she’s really a sweet person who deserves to receive the love she brings to her DR fiancee.

As "anonymous" pointed out I have never dated a Dominican guy. I was immune from Sankies thanks to Dancing Blonde's advice and I'm still looking for the right guy but perhaps in all the wrong places.

Cheers,

Dr. Blonde
